Sunday, I had the honor of photographing very fit women and very muscular men. The willpower and dedication these people have just amazes me! And God knew just what He was doing when he created us! The human body is beautiful!
Here are just a few {I took nearly 600} pictures to help tell the story of a body building and figure competition {it was my first one}.
Some of the awards. . . so cool!
Skye getting spray tanned!
Backstage. . . lots going on!
There was a “strong man” competition between the pre-judging and afternoon show. These men flipped these roughly 450 pound tires for ten minutes. Yes! They had rests in between the sets, but the rest time got shorter and shorter as the ten minutes went by.
Chris and Mike presented my brother, Bobby with a cake. . . a chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. {My brother LOVES cake!}
More tire flipping!
Here is a competition to see who could pick up a ten pound weight with just one hand. This competition is actually a method used to train athletes to strengthen their grip! It’s harder than it looks. Trust me, I tried! And failed!
Mike at the afternoon session of the show.
Chris at the afternoon session, before awards.
Miss. Cal U – Danielle O’Rourke. Absolutely stunning!
Mr. Cal U – Alan Porter. He makes it look easy!
Congratulations to all the competitors! And, thank you, Chris for giving me this awesome opportunity to be involved in the show!
God Bless!
